Biotta Juices
The No.1 Functional Organic Fruit and Vegetable JuicesBiotta Juice Philosophy
In 1951, Biotta committed itself to organic farming — harvesting its fruits and vegetables from healthy, living soil and organic production, both according to European Organic Standards — many years before the enthusiasm for organic food really took hold.
At Biotta, top quality means organic products grown and left as nature intended. First-class raw products and painstakingly careful processing are the key to the natural flavor of Biotta juices, which are all rich with natural minerals and vitamins, to promote good health.
We guarantee that no artificial additives are used. Biotta juices are 100% pure, natural original juices that are not made from concentrate or diluted with water.

Wild Mountain Cranberry
With hand-picked organic wild mountain cranberries
It’s the organic wild mountain cranberries which make this Biotta juice so very special. Unlike their industrially harvested American relations, these smaller wild mountain cranberries are hand-picked in the forests of the Carpathian mountains. The resulting harvest is of premium quality and conforms to strictest organic guidelines. In 2011, this classic berry juice was awarded a gold medal for flavour and quality by the German Agriculture Association. Nutritionists collaborated in the development of this juice.
Beetroot
Rich in tradition
Beetroot was probably introduced here by the Romans. In those days, beetroot came in a variety of shapes and colours – ball-shaped, cylinder-shaped or even elongated, and in white, yellow or light red. People did not start to cultivate the characteristically red varieties of beetroot until the 19th century. The Thurgau region has a long history of beetroot growing. In the fertile soils around Lake Constance, numerous varieties of organic beetroot grow and thrive. Organic farmers in the area deliver their beetroot freshly harvested to our production site in Tägerwilen. Here, this intensely red vegetable is processed gently and with care to turn it into Biotta Beetroot juice.

Digest
The special fruit mix
Biotta Digest is a fruit juice blend with a high proportion of organic Italian plums. These sun-ripened fruits are processed as soon as they are harvested. The raw ingredients are processed with no artificial additives in a particularly gentle manner, and transformed into freshly pressed juice. The juice thus created in our production plant has a balanced flavour and is particularly delicious. The DLG (German Agriculture Association) has also been impressed by the outstanding taste and excellent quality of the juice, awarding Biotta Digest a silver medal.

Wild Bilberry
Small berries – big taste
If you want to grow wild bilberries, you’ll need plenty of time and patience. In comparison to conventionally-cultivated bilberries, it takes several years before these plants develop sufficiently in the wild and you can start to harvest the berries from them. But there are more differences between wild bilberries and the cultivated varieties you can buy in your local supermarket. Wild bilberries are smaller, have a more intense flavour, and need to be processed faster after harvesting. As a result, one has to handle these sensitive berries very gently when processing them to make juice. Our natural Biotta juice is produced from organic wild bilberries, with no artificial additives. This ensures the intense aroma of the berries is preserved.

Elderberry
Berry baby
Elderberries were not cultivated in Europe until 1960. But people soon noticed the many positive characteristics of the tree – its low susceptibility to disease, and its frost hardiness, for example. The plant quickly grew in popularity, and now it is hard to imagine the European landscape without it. For our Biotta Elderberry, we use Haschberg elderberries – the variety with the best quality and most intense flavour. At the end of the summer, the black berries are carefully hand-picked and pressed. The natural juice then produced in our plant is without artificial additives or added sugar. Thanks to the careful and gentle processing methods, this juice is fruitily mild, and a real treat for the palate.
